Working on several projects including from analysis of Traumatic Brain Injury pedestrian injury with a grant from NY Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. Presented at NY Highway Safety Symposium and at Neurosurgery/ Trauma Board grand rounds. In addition examining clinical outcomes post crainoplasty and requirements for ICU follow up. Exploring with a specific focus on detection of non-convulsive status epilepticus after traumatic brain injury. In ICU settings non-convulsive status epilepticus goes undetected causing neurological consequences because of lack of adequate EEG operating staff and general impracticality of traditional cumbersome 12 channel EEG. Exploring new innovations in EEG monitoring using a unique algorithm which be a viable tool when used in acute setting s to help detect otherwise ignored episodes of non-convulsive status epilepticus.
